The Sword in the Stone

Image Musical Theatre were in school this morning giving a fantastic theatre performance of 'The Sword in the Stone' to the whole school.

Children all took part in a workshop first, learning the songs so that they could join in with the show, and some children were given roles to play as well. They then joined the performers on stage to tell the traditional story of how a young page, Arthur, became King by drawing the sword 'Excalibur' from a stone when nobody else could.

The show was a leaving gift to everyone at St John's from Mrs Marsland, who is taking up a new Head Teacher position in January. Mr Bowman live streamed parts of the show on our closed facebook page, so we hope everyone at home enjoyed watching too!
