Children designed and created their own Easter eggs, bonnets and baskets to enter into a fundraising competition, hoping to win one of the prizes that had been kindly donated by local businesses.
The front desk was filled with an abundance of Easter creations as they arrived in school ready for judging. Mrs Caudwell from St John's Church, and our associate governor, then had the task of choosing the winners.
Winners were announced, and prizes were awarded, at the Easter Service in church on the last day of term, and then children paraded around the congregation to show their beautiful Easter creations!
Mrs Caudwell said, "thank you for allowing me to see all the wonderful bonnets, baskets and eggs. It was really difficult trying to choose winners as they were all so brilliant. As well as winners, I made a 'special mention' of some because they were really eye-catching and different. Very well done all of you!"
Money raised will go towards outdoor learning projects that we are planning.
